Group Consolidation & USALI

One view across every property

Consolidated operational and financial data across hotel brands, countries, currencies and systems into one central reporting environment.

The Challenge

The hotel group operated across multiple countries, franchise brands and system environments.

Each property had its own combination of PMS, accounting structure, reporting process and operating currency. This made it difficult to compare performance consistently across the portfolio and created a heavy reliance on manually prepared spreadsheets and finance packs.

Management needed one reporting structure that could preserve property-level detail while also providing a reliable consolidated group view.

Our Approach

We started by mapping the reporting structure across properties rather than building dashboards directly from individual systems.

PMS, ERP, procurement, inventory and financial data sources were reviewed and aligned around common hotel, department and reporting dimensions.

A central data model was then designed to standardize the information while keeping the original property-level detail available for drill-down and reconciliation.

The Solution

A central hotel data warehouse was created to bring together operational and financial information from multiple source systems.

Property accounts are mapped into a common USALI-aligned reporting structure, while multi-currency logic supports portfolio-level consolidation.

Power BI provides interactive reporting for management, while paginated reports are used for structured finance and board reporting.

The same environment can also incorporate procurement, inventory, cash-flow and debt information, creating one reporting layer across the group.

The Results

Management now has a consistent way to review performance across different hotels, brands and countries.

Property-level reporting remains available, but financial and operational information can also be consolidated into one group structure without rebuilding the same spreadsheet process every reporting period.

The result is a clearer view across the portfolio, with less manual consolidation and a stronger link between hotel operations and finance.
