The Challenge
The portfolio included both hotels and villas distributed across several booking channels.
Rates, availability, restrictions and reservations had to remain consistent between the property systems and OTAs, while different property types required different distribution setups.
Managing changes directly across individual booking channels created unnecessary manual work and increased the risk of inconsistent rates, availability or restrictions.
Our Approach
We reviewed the distribution structure property by property rather than forcing the entire portfolio into one setup.
Room and accommodation types, rate plans, booking channels, restrictions and reservation flows were mapped first.
From there, the most appropriate distribution model was configured for each property, using SiteMinder for hotel channel management and Guesty where the villa operating model required a different approach.
The Solution
SiteMinder and Guesty were configured as central distribution layers between the properties and their connected booking channels.
Rates, availability and restrictions can be controlled from the relevant central system, while reservations flow back into the operational environment without the team needing to recreate them manually.
The setup also provides a clearer structure for managing channel mappings and identifying where distribution changes should be made.

The Results
The team now has a much simpler way to manage distribution across a mixed portfolio of hotels and villas.
Rate and availability changes require fewer manual updates, booking channels stay more closely aligned with the source systems and reservation flows are easier to manage.
Instead of working across multiple extranets, the team has a clearer central point for day-to-day distribution management.
